According to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, 18 million acres of forest are destroyed every year. That’s equivalent to 28,125 square miles, or an area the size of Ireland. If this rate of deforestation continues, life on earth will change forever. The good news, however, is that many of us want to make a difference.

Over the past decade, we’ve always kept our environmental priorities high. Our newest partnership will take that to the next level. One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation. They are an environmental charity whose mission is to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create an impact on nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity. Our partnership with One Tree Planted is simple;

• We donate €1 for every 1 ton of paper we shred
• For every €1 our partner receives from us, they plant 1 tree

 

 

 

As one of the biggest confidential paper shredding companies in Ireland, we send large quantities of finely shredded paper to mills. This paper is then subsequently is recycled back into tissue paper. The equation for this is 1 ton of paper recycled, saves about 17 mature trees from being cut down.

This has created a powerful double-edged sword for us. In which we will be continuously saving mature trees from being cut down, in unison with planting 1 tree for every ton of paper we receive.

When you avail of our paper shredding services you are issued with a GDPR compliant Certificate when the job is complete. We are now issuing an Environmental Certificates and a Tree Planting Certificate on request. The Certificates will have your organisations name, the number of trees you’ve saved, and the number of trees you’ve helped plant.

2. We either shred your paper on-site or collect and shred at our facility free of charge
3. We issue a GDPR Compliant Certificate to complete your audit trail
4. We donate €1 for every ton of paper we shred to One Tree Planted. €1 donated plants 1 tree
